News: Palm Joins The Adobe Open Screen Project = Flash?

Palm (among others) has joined Adobe's Open Screen Project. This news is exciting since the project will be working on developing an advanced mobile version of Flash for PDAs and other mobile phones.
This advanced mobile version of Flash is hopefully going to find its way inside the browser of the Palm Pre, but no details have been revealed about how it will work or any release date. But both Adobe and Palm reiterate claims that Flash will be available on multiple devices in the second half of 2009. The Open Screen Project is dedicated to enabling stand-alone applications and full web browsing across televisions, desktops and mobile devices that take advantage of Adobe Flash.

I hope this happens soon, I am so excited to see (Basic) Flash on handhelds. I know there are some concerns about stability, security and portability, but I think if the OSP does a good job those will all be addressed.
