Rumor: Boy Genius Palm Pre Reporting Might Be Flawed

The web has been steaming today about a possible June 7th date that Best Buy will have a limited set of Palm Pre's in stock and possible pricing released.
As this posting is titled, this is all a Rumor. The InsideSprintNow blog has posted a great article titled "Boy Genuis not so smart?". This posting shows how several of the items mentioned in the BoyGeniusReport article is most likely not true.
The article points out that "any release this big certainly isn't going to be done with anyone ‘partnered' in" in reference to Best Buy being a limited release partner. Also the pricing seems to be not true according to the InsideSprintNow blog. "Seriously? I don't think so. Flunk, again. $999 price point? Put Simply, no. Not in any combination will you find the $999 price point to be valid, contract or not. As to the upgrades for existing customers? Have you -ever- seen a single price point for an upgrade price? The answer is no, because the system is simply not set up like this.", quoted from their blog.
My response: I was excited to see the $199 pricing and felt it was a good fair price for the device, the $999 was too much for me to believe since I have never seen such a markup for no contact phones. I like that we can see both sides to this rumor, so you can make your own opinion but don't take either of these articles as concrete.
